Rory O'Connor

Rory grew up plying the Puget Sound rivers for steelehad and salmon and took up flyfishing at age 12 for Sea-Run Cutthroat in the streams and saltwater around Marysville. Since then Rory's spent 6 years guiding in AK where he had the chance to fish many S.E. AK rivers for steelhead and salmon. When Rory's not pounding the Yak you'll find him in the hills hunting or hiking. Rory is also a Coast Gaurd licensed Captain with an 80 ton rating. In addition, he is one of our guide staff on the Upper Columbia!

Rory is currently attending CWU working on his Bachelors in Business Management and brings a relaxed but hardworking personality to the Evening Hatch Guide staff.

Fav Wash Waters: Yak obviously, but grew up on the Sauk and Skagitsystem, all coastal rivers
Fav Outside Wash Waters: S.E. AK wilderness rivers, fished the Situk twoyears ago.
Fav Fish: Summer steelhead in the summer, winter steelhead in thewinter!
Fav One Liner: I love to yell HOOKUP! when people hook up, and when a someone loses a particulary wild fish, I tell em, "You've just been violated friend!"
