To
successfully catch fish on the fly requires a strategy. Fly
fishing is very similar to hunting in that there needs to be
some sort of gameplan. With out a gameplan the catch rate will
go down.
There are basically two methods of presenting a fly....with
tension or without. Both techniques require a different approach.
Execution of both methods requires the angler to consider angler
position, specialty line manipulations/casts (via the air or
on the water) and the terminal tackle being used. In essence
utilizing these techniques is part of the floorplan for catching
fish.
Although there are other factors involved, the core of your
strategy is based on the aforementioned factors.
