Directions and Itinerary

From Portland/Vancouver – Time from Portland – 2 hours
Take Hwy 14 East to Lyle ,Take 142 North to Harris Rd. (24 miles) Take a right on Harris Rd (under pwer lines)and the ranch will be the first driveway on the left.

or

I-84 east to Hood river bridge and cross Columbia. Then follow Hwy 14 east directions shown above.
Time from Downtown Portland – 2 hours

From I-90 corridor and I-82 corridor
I-82 to Toppenish turn off (exit # 50- Hwy 97) Head south on 97 to Goldendale
At Goldendale take Hwy 142 (Dairy Queen/Sub Shop/76 Station) West to Harris Road (approximately 11 miles)
Take a left on Harris road (under power lines)and the Ranch will be the first driveway on the left

Rods/Reels/Lines- Two rod set ups are recommended so that we can fish instead of rig one rod back and forth
Single Handers #7-9 with matching dry line on one spool and a sink tip system on the other
Double Handers #6-9 with a dry line and a 5-15 foot sink tip system..
  • Waders: Breathable waders are recommended
    (Wet wading is common in the summer months, and early fall…quick drying shorts or pants (nylon) and wading boots.)
  • Wading boots with felt soles!
    Brimmed hat and polarized sunglasses.
    Rain parka
    Layers of polar fleece…depending on season
    Fingerless gloves for colder months
    Leaders- 1 6′ 0x and 1 12′ 0x
Rod, reels, flies and tippet are provided if needed

Current fishing license is needed. We do not sell licenses at the shop. A Washington State fishing license can be purchased via phone by calling toll free 1-866-246-9453 or online. The process is simple and allows you to purchase your license for one day or a year whether you are a resident or not.
