YAKIMA & UPPER COLUMBIA TROUT – APRIL 21, 2019

Posted on

YAKIMA

Pretty good fishing when the water is worthy….Current clarity chart

The best dry fly fishing is in isolated pockets of fish on March Browns as well as a few fish here and there on blind casts during off hatch times

Streamers and nymphs have been reasonably productive….
San Juan worms, Sculpzillas, CDC PTs, Clousers, Salmon Fly Stone Patterns

UPPER COLUMBIA

Lots of these lately on the UC.  Obviously it is fishing and every day is different.  Water was the lowest we had ever seen at this time of year.  Currently at normal flows +/-  75K

WINTER STEELHEAD

Considering the low waters our season turned out good… Fun times with great people; and some goooood fish.   We are 1/4 full for big groups already in 2020:))
